Syracuse, N.Y. - An alley-oop finish put away by senior forward Ocypher Owens (Orlando, Fla./Orlando Christian Prep/Indian River State) off a lob from sophomore guard AJ Dancler (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) has been named the Le Moyne Play of the Week, presented by 'Phins Hospitality.



The Le Moyne College men's basketball team played it's third Northeast Conference game of the year against new addition Mercyhurst at Ted Grant Court on Sunday. With just under three minutes of play left in the 1^st half, the Dolphins led the Lakers 28-19. Mercyhurst drove to the basket and were met by redshirt sophomore Nate Fouts (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles/Kimball Union Academy), contesting the shot at the rim.

Fouts grabbed the loose ball finding an open Dancler on the outlet pass, looking to push the ball on the fast break. Junior forward Freds Pauls Bagatskis (Riga, Latvia/Complejo Educativo Mas Camarena/Georgia Tech/UT Arlington) joined the fast break, leaking into the corner as Danlcer and Owens filled the lane.

With a quick flick of the wrist, Dancler threw a lob pass to Owens, grabbing the ball with a full-stretched right arm and dunking the ball for an emphatic finish.

Owen's finished the game with an efficient 12 points and 3 rebounds on 3-3 shooting from the field as the Dolphins defeated Mercyhurst 79-63 for their first conference win of the season.

The Dolphins are back in action Saturday as they head to Chicago State for the first time. Action is scheduled to tip-off at 2:00 P.M. ET.
