LUCAS CLAY, ADAM KASZOVITZ NAMED NEC MEN'S SWIM & DIVE WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS

Syracuse, N.Y. – Sophomore swimmer Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) and junior diver Adam Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y. / Hicksville) have been named NEC Swimming and Diving Weekly Award winners for their performances during Le Moyne's mid-season invite at the Magnus Cup hosted by Cleveland State University from Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 20-22. 

Clay was named an NEC Co-Swimmer of the Week and a Prime Performer after setting three school records and finishing in the top-10 five times at the meet. 

He set individual or relay records in the 200-yard breaststroke with a final time of 2:00.81, 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 54.38, and 400-yard medley relay with a final time of 3:20.01. He finished fourth in both of the breaststroke events and ninth as part of the relay team. 

Clay also earned third place in the 50-yard breaststroke with a final time of 24.94 and 10th as part of the 200-yard medley relay that came in at the 1:31.20 mark.

Kaszovitz was selected as an NEC Co-Diver of the Week and a Prime Performer after finishing eighth in both the one-meter and three-meter dives with scores of 230.05 and 191.05, respectively. 

Kaszovitz was also part of the team diving event in which Le Moyne's squad ranked third and set a school record with a final score of 177.75.

Through the next month, Clay will compete at the USA Swimming Toyota U.S. Open Championships in the 100-breaststroke event in Austin, T.X. from Dec. 3-8 while those who qualified will compete at the CSCAA Open Water National Championships in Ocala, Fla. on Dec. 13.

The Dolphins will compete as a team next in Brooklyn, N.Y. as they take on LIU on Saturday, Jan. 17.
