LOCKWOOD AND BENNETT EARN NEC WEEKLY HONORS

2/16/2026 3:59:00 PM

Bridgewater, N.J. – Le Moyne College redshirt junior attacker Olivia Lockwood (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Onondaga C.C.) and sophomore midfielder Carrie Bennett (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) have earned NEC weekly honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Lockwood was named the NEC Player of the Week following her performance in Le Moyne's 11-8 season-opening victory over Presbyterian College on Sunday afternoon. Lockwood is the third Dolphin to earn NEC Player of the Week honors and is the first to do so since Sarah Hutchings '24 on March 18, 2024 (Rhonee Shea Pal also was honored on February 19, 2024). In her Dolphin debut, Lockwood tallied eight goals, including seven consecutive over the second and third quarters. Her eight goals are tied with Liz Hewitt '06 from April 24, 2005 against Niagara for the most by a Dolphin in a Division I game (1999-2010 and 2024-26) and are in a three-way tie for the second-most overall in the program's 33-year history. The eight goals are the most by a Dolphin since Brenna Bauer '13 had eight at Southern Connecticut State on April 10, 2012. Her eight points are the most by a Dolphin since Sara Goodwin had eight against Pace on May 7, 2023 in the NE10 Championship game.

Bennett eared NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying three caused turnovers and two ground balls in the win over Presbyterian. She is the third different Dolphin, for a total of six occasions, to earn Defensive Player of the Week recognition and the first to do so since Lilly Locastro earned her fourth honor of the season on April 15, 2024. She set a new career high for caused turnovers and equaled her career best for ground balls.

Le Moyne (1-0), which won its season opener for the second time in three years, remains in northwest South Carolina to take on another Big South opponent, Wofford College, on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
