Bridgewater, N.J. – Le Moyne College redshirt junior attacker
Olivia Lockwood (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Onondaga C.C.) has been named the NEC women's lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Lockwood earns the honor for the second time in three weeks after registering 10 points on eight goals and two assists in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. She opened the week with four goals, including one in each quarter, and two assists in an 11-10 overtime victory over Binghamton on Wednesday. She then tallied four more goals in a 16-10 win at Manhattan on Saturday.
Through five games, she has 22 points on 19 goals and three assists. She leads the NEC in goals, goals per game (3.8) and points and ranks second in points per game (4.4). If Le Moyne student-athletes qualified for national rankings, but don't during the institution's transition period, Lockwood would be tied for 17th in goals per game and tied for 22nd in goals scored.
Le Moyne (4-1), which has won its first four road games for the first time since the 2021 season and the first time ever during its two Division I tenures, returns to action at home against Siena University on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
