Indianapolis, Ind. – The Le Moyne College men's tennis team has been selected to the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships for the first time in the program's history, as announced by the NCAA Men's Tennis Selection Committee on Tuesday night on NCAA.com. The sixth-seeded Dolphins will face third-seeded NYIT in the first round of the East Regional on Monday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. at second-seeded Queens College.

The other half of the East Regional consists of top-seeded Concordia College, fourth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University and fifth-seeded Merrimack College. The Penmen and Warriors, who met for the Northeast-10 Conference championship on Saturday, will square off in the first round on Monday at Concordia. On Tuesday, May 1, the Le Moyne-NYIT winner will take on Queens and the Merrimack-SNHU winner will take on Concordia.

The two May 1 winners will advance to the 16-team NCAA Championships, which will be held May 9-12 in Surprise, Arizona. The Pacific West Conference and the City of Surprise will serve as hosts.

The Dolphins enter the regional with a 13-5 record, including a mark of 13-4 against Division II competition. Prior to a loss in their most recent match, the Dolphins ran off a streak of 10 straight victories. The Dolphins have faced three of the other five teams in the regional and were 1-3 in those matches. The Dolphins defeated NYIT, 5-4, on April 8, but dropped two matches to Merrimack and one to Southern New Hampshire.
