West Point, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's indoor track and field teams opened the start of 2023 at The West Point Open on Friday at Gillis Field House. 

Redshirt sophomore Madison Kozyra (Marcy, N.Y./Whitesboro) placed eighth in the weight throw with a program-record distance of 45-feet, 7.25-inches, breaking her own record, which stood at 44-feet, 0-inches. She also placed 11th in the shot put with 29-feet, 8.25-inches.
 
Redshirt sophomore Sophia Bisognano (Albany, N.Y./Colonie) placed third in the mile, posting a 5:57.26 time followed by sophomore Anita Jepchirchir (Eldoret, Kenya) placing fifth with a time of 6:05.56, sophomore Hilda Kiprono (Eldoret, Kenya/Kapsabet Girls High School) placing sixth with a time of 6:06.07 and redshirt freshman Alexandra Jacob (North Syracuse, N.Y.) placed seventh with a time of 6:20.79.

Senior Cayla Hungerford (Petersburg, N.Y./New Lebanon) finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:56.13.
 
Sophomore Hailey Beckwith (Stephentown, N.Y./Berlin) finished fourth in the 800-meter with a time of 3:06.22.

Senior Olivia Snell (Valley Falls, N.Y./Greenwich) finished fifth in the Women's 800m with a time of 3:16.40.

Freshman Abigail Seaman (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) placed fifth in the triple jump with 35-feet, 4.5-inches.
 
The quartet of senior Cleo Baker (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post), senior Catherine Durant (Arverne, N.Y./Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School), Jepchirchir, and senior Shaina Smith (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) placed fifth in the 4x400 with a time of 4:30.76.
 
Another quartet consisting of Kiprono, Bisognano, Jacob and Snell placed seventh in the 4x400 with a time of 5:14.75.

Baker finished ninth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.38.

Sophomore Brianne Rett (Uxbridge, Mass./Marianapolis Preparatory (Conn.)) placed 10th in the shot put with a mark of 32-feet, 3-inches and also placed 10th in the weight throw with a distance of 37-feet, 10.75-inches.
 
Smith finished 15th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.79 seconds and 16th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.31 seconds.
 
Durant finished 15th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:09.45.
 
Sophomore Chelsea Dennison (Cato, N.Y.) finished 16th in the 400-meter with a time of 1:09.75.
 
On the men's side, senior Christian Carlin-Saracene (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed third in the Men's 800m with a time of 2:05.04.

Sophomore Evan Breitbeck (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed fourth in the Men's Mile with a time of 4:41.90.

Senior Nolan Hillhouse (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) placed fourth in the triple jump with 40-feet, 2.75-inches and 12th in the long jump with 18-feet, 8-inches.
 
Freshman Payton Hirsch (Hamilton, N.Y./Morrisville-Eaton) finished fourth in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:11.76.

Junior Nick Berg (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) placed sixth in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:54.07.

Junior Jeremy Plumley (Camden, N.Y./Camden) placed seventh in the one-mile run with a time of 4:44.91.

The quartet of Carlin-Saracene, sophomores Brandon Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) and Connor Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) and Hirsch placed seventh in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:40.80.
 
Brandon Scott finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.80 seconds.

Junior Matt Bartolotta (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) placed ninth in the one-mile run with a time of 4:51.93.

Another quartet of Bartolotta, Breitbeck, Berg and junior Spencer Zeltmann (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) placed ninth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:54.00
 
Senior Nicolas Hafner (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) placed 10th in the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:11.23 and 10th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.22 seconds.

Senior Matthew Sinnenberg (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) placed 10th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:47.21.
 
Connor Scott finished 11th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.26 seconds.

Junior Brandon Laribee (Rome, N.Y/Rome Free Academy) finished 11th in the weight throw with a distance of 35-feet, 1-inch.
 
Freshman Jordan Johnson (Plainfield, N.J.) placed 12th in the 400-meter dash with a time 56.98 seconds.
 
Freshman Cyril Anderson (Manchester, N.H) finished 13th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.61 seconds.
 
Sophomore Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) placed 13th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:08.91.
 
Sophomore Jacob Cottet (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) placed 14th in the one-mile run with a time of 4:57.47.
 
Zeltmann finished 15th in the 400-meter dash with a time 58.88 seconds.
 
Freshman Adin Potter (Taberg, N.Y./Camden Central) finished 15th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:53.56.
 
The Dolphins are back in action at the Spartan Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. next Friday.
