Syracuse, N.Y. – The location and start time for the Le Moyne women's soccer team's NEC matchup on Sunday against LIU have been changed.

It was previously scheduled to be a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at LIU Soccer Park, but due to the weather forecast in the area the conference battle between the Dolphins and the Sharks will instead take place at SUNY Maritime's Reinhart Field in Throggs Neck, N.Y., and kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m.

The Dolphins are coming off a 1-0 win at home over Stonehill on Thursday, their first shutout of the season, which improved their record to 2-6-2, and evened their NEC resume to 1-1.

Junior forward Sierra Edwards (Greece, N.Y./Hilton/Monroe) scored the winning goal against the Skyhawks in the 52nd minute with the help of an assist from freshman forward Hope Adigun (Clay, N.Y./Liverpool), while graduate goalkeeper Allison Moreau (Sauquoit, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley) tallied seven saves for the 'Phins to register her seventh career clean sheet.

The goal was Edwards' second of the season, and Adigun recorded her first collegiate point with the assist.

Sunday's contest at LIU will be the Dolphins' first road match in NEC play.

Le Moyne began their 10-game Northeast Conference schedule on September 17 at home against Howard University. The Dolphins recorded a season-high 11 shots against the Bison, but Howard scored the game's only goal in the 42nd minute and left Syracuse with a 1-0 victory and three points in the NEC Standings.

Howard, Merrimack, and Central Connecticut State are currently at the top of the NEC Standings with six points each, while Wagner, Sacred Heart, Le Moyne, Saint Francis and FDU each hold a 1-1 conference record.

Howard's 7-2-1 overall record gives them the best winning percentage among the 11 NEC women's soccer programs.

The LIU Sharks (4-4-1) are currently 1-2 in NEC play with a 2-1 win at home over Stonehill, a 2-0 defeat at Wagner, and most recently a 1-0 setback at Central Connecticut State.

The Sharks scored twice in the final 30 minutes of the second half against Stonehill to erase a 1-0 deficit with goals from sophomore forward Izzy Stein and freshman forward Stephanie Schubert. Schubert, who also scored in the team's season-opening 3-0 win at Saint Peter's, is third on the squad in points with four.

Freshman forward Noa Bartels van Bosbeek is tied for the team lead in points with two goals and an assist through nine games played and six starts.

Junior midfielder Gina Proviano, who assisted on both goals against Stonehill, also has five points this season for LIU with one goal and three assists. Proviano also leads the team in shots on goal with 11.

Redshirt-sophomore defender Matiana Valdez has started all nine games this season for the Sharks, and she scored the winning goal during the team's 1-0 victory over Rider.

Redshirt freshman Keely Thomas has played every minute in goal for LIU this season. She has compiled 37 saves through nine games, including a career-high 10 saves during the 1-0 loss against CCSU.

Following Sunday's match against the Sharks, Le Moyne will play another conference road game at Delaware State University on Thursday, September 28.
