Bridgewater, N.J. – Sophomore goalkeeper Mikayla McPheron (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) has been named the NEC Player of the Week, the NEC Defensive Player of the Week, and an NEC Prime Performer after tallying a total of 16 saves against CCSU and New Haven.

On Thursday, the 'Phins were in New Britain, Conn. to compete against CCSU. The Blue Devils registered 22 shots, forcing McPheron to make a season-high 9 saves, keeping a clean sheet as the 'Phins earned a point after a 0-0 draw.

The Dolphins were on the road again on Sunday, this time in West Haven, Conn. to take on the University of New Haven. The Chargers recorded a total of 14 shots, as Mikayla pulled out 7 saves, keeping her second consecutive clean sheet as Le Moyne went on to win its first game of the season by a score of 2-0.

McPheron kept back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season, and was an instrumental factor in the 'Phins performances this past week. She is the first Dolphin on the team to receive an NEC Defensive Player of the Week and the first to receive an NEC Player of the Week.

Mikayla is currently sitting at 67 saves on the season with a 80.7% save percentage off of 159 shots to lead the Le Moyne back line.

The Dolphins are back in action this Thursday for the final home match of the season against the Stonehill Skyhawks. Action is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 P.M.
