SCARAVILLO AND LAUTNER LEAD DOLPHINS PAST BENTLEY, 2-0

Waltham, Mass. – Junior midfielder Vince Scaravillo (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and freshman midfielder Alexander Lautner (Munich, Germany/Theodolinden Gymnasium) scored midway through the second half to lead the Le Moyne College men's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Bentley in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

After the Dolphins held a 6-5 advantage in shots in a scoreless first half and forced Bentley goalkeeper Matt Reynolds to make four saves, Le Moyne broke through with its first goal 15:05 into the second stanza. Off a Bentley deflection, Scaravillo registered his first goal of the season.

Less than 15 minutes later, Lautner took a feed from sophomore Zachary MacNabb (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/UNC Pembroke) and found the back of the net for his first collegiate tally at the 74:52 mark.

Sophomore goalkeeper Matthew Silva">Matthew Silva (Brampton, Ontario/St. Augustine) only needed to make two first-half saves to preserve his second consecutive shutout and sixth of the season. Reynolds finished the contest with his four saves from the first half. Le Moyne registered an 11-8 advantage in shots, while recording a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

Le Moyne (7-4-1, 6-2 NE-10), which remains in the hunt for the top spot in the conference, wraps up non-conference play on Wednesday against Dominican at 4:00 p.m.
