Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshman forward Rachel Terry (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) scored twice and dished out an assist to lead the Le Moyne College women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Bloomfield College on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

Le Moyne got on the scoreboard first just over four minutes into the game. Following a throw-in along the right sideline, Terry weaved through the Bloomfield defense before firing a shot off the goalkeeper and inside the right goal post from 10 yards out at the 4:10 mark.

Just under 25 minutes later, the Dolphins doubled their lead on another Terry goal. After receiving the ball on the left side of the field, Terry broke away from the Bloomfield defense and raced into the penalty box before slotting a shot between the goalkeeper and the near left post for her second goal of the half.

Le Moyne took a 3-0 lead with 12:31 remaining in the first half. Junior midfielder Lindsey Bakal (Newark Valley, N.Y./Newark Valley) carried the ball towards the left side of the endline before crossing the ball to the top of the goal box, where sophomore midfielder Marissa Walsh (Chenango Forks, N.Y./Chenango Forks) knocked in her first career goal.

Bloomfield broke through in the 64th minute as Mikie Bradley collected a loose ball and then launched a shot from 28 yards out into the upper right corner of the goal.

The Dolphins completed the scoring in the contest with 15:16 remaining. After taking a pass outside the top left corner of the penalty box, Terry sent a pass into the middle of the penalty box to senior midfielder Kate Deasy (Pittsford, N.Y./Aquinas Institute), who spun around a defender and fired a shot into the upper right corner from 12 yards out.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tori Corsaro">Tori Corsaro (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) stopped the only shot she saw in the first half to earn the win between the pipes. Diana Vincentini made 10 saves in suffering the loss for the Deacons. The Dolphins recorded a 22-7 advantage in shots, including a 14-4 mark in the second half, while taking all four of the game's corner kicks.
