Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) placed 15th overall in the men's race as senior
Anita Jepchirchir (Eldoret, Kenya/The Kenya High School) placed 20th overall in the women's race as the Dolphins competed in their second-ever Northeast Conference Cross Country Championships.

Robin Wheeless. "They waited for the most important meet of the season to put their best races together. Even though injuries had us not at full strength on the women's side, we still had several personal bests, especially from Anita and Mackenzie. I can't say enough about our men's team. Everyone gave their all. Last year we finished at the bottom of the conference and this year
Jack Gibson led the team to fourth. The rest of the top five were

Liam Rocks,
Mike Purvis and
Carson Campbell. Two sophomores and two freshmen. We have a great start to doing even better next year."
Central Connecticut State University won the team competition on the men's side for the second year in a row, finishing with a team score of 16 points. Wagner finished 2
nd overall with a team score of 51 points, as Stonehill placed 3
rd overall with 78 points.
Gibson led the way for Le Moyne, placing 15
th overall in the eight-kilometer course running a time of 26:52.9. Sophomore
Tyler Cooper (Sloatsburg, N.Y./Suffern) placed 22
nd overall, finishing with a time of 27:26.4. Freshman
Liam Rocks (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) finished 16
th overall, running a time of 27:38.7 in his first ever NEC Championship. Sophomore
Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 38
th overall with a time of 28:26.3. In his first NEC Championship, freshman
Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 56
th overall with a time of 30:08.3. Sophomore
Jacob Makhlouf (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) ran the 8k course in a time of 33:16.8, placing 71
st overall. Junior
Jake Roman (Liverpool, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/SUNY Morrisville) placed two spots behind Makhlouf, running a time of 33:51.0 finishing 73
rd overall to round out the scoring for the 'Phins.
On the women's side, Central Connecticut State University won the team competition for the 6
th time in seven years, finishing with a team score of 39 points. Saint Francis placed 2
nd overall with a team score of 57 points, as Wagner finished 5 points behind the Red Flash in 3
rd with 62 overall points.
Jepchirchir led the way for the Dolphins, setting a personal record in the five-kilometer course, beating our her previous record by 0.7 seconds. She placed 20
th overall running a time of 18:53.2. Sophomore
Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) also set a personal record in the 5k, placing 40
th overall running a time of 19:54.9. Sophomore
Stephanie James (Schenectady, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville) placed 60
th overall with a time of 22:15.3. In her first ever NEC Championship, freshman
Cailtin Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) placed 74
th overall, setting a personal record after running a time of 25:09.8. Sophomore
Angelina Rodriguez (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) completed the 5k course in a time of 26:19.5, placing 76
th overall to round out the scoring for Le Moyne.
The Dolphins will conclude their season on November 9
th, as they travel to Tyrone, PA. to compete in the Red Flash Rally.
