Staten Island, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College men's & women's team wrapped up its second-ever Northeast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Monday.
"I think we had a terrific weekend at the Conference Championship," said head coach
Robin Wheeless. "We had several personal bests, and we improved on our point totals over our first year in the conference."Â
Junior
Lilly Capria had the most success for the Dolphins, winning the first-ever 1
st place finish at a Northeast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships for Le Moyne. She won the high jump event after clearing a height of 5-feet, 5-inches. Freshman teammate
Jacey Locci (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater) also medaled in the high jump event after placing 3
rd overall.

Isabella O'Donnell (Latham, N.Y./Shaker), sophomore
Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), sophomore
Stephanie James (Schenectady, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville/Saint Rose) and sophomore
Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) all competed in the 4000m distance medley relay, placing 5
th overall after earning a time of 13:19.84.

Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes), freshman
Lilly Gilles (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport),
Jacey Locci and Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera competed in the 4x400m relay, placing 7
th overall after running a time of 4:14.27.
On the men's side, freshman
Christopher Zajdel (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) saw the best individual success in the finals, after placing 5
th overall in the 400m event, clocking in with a time of 48.97.
Redshirt-junior
Matthew Frisa (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) placed 8
th overall in the 500m event after running a time of 1:08.72. Sophomore
Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) earned himself an 8
th place finish in the one mile event, finishing with a time of 4:23.40, a personal record.

Skylar Gravell (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy), junior
Jordan Johnson (Plainfield, N.J./Timothy Christian School), and
Christopher Zajdel placed 5
th overall in the men's 4x400m relay after clocking in a time of 3:21.11.
Freshman
Brendan O'Rourke (New Milford, N.J./Bergen Catholic), junior
Payton Hirsch (Hamilton, N.Y./Morrisville-Eaton), senior
Jacob Cottet (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt), and
Mike Purvis all competed in the men's 4000m distance medley relay, placing 7
th overall after earning a time of 10:45.12.

rd. Overall I am happy with our progress, and it's exciting to think that all of the individuals who scored will be here next year."
