MEN'S AND WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETE AT UB ALUMNI INVITE

Buffalo, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the UB Alumni Invite on Friday afternoon.
 
Senior Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) continued his individual success with the Dolphins as he earned his fourth 1st place finish of the season today after competing in the men's 3000m steeplechase, running a time of 9:32.78.
 
In the men's 100m, sophomore Christopher Moser (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) placed 14th overall after running a time of 11.67. Sophomore Skylar Gravell (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy) competed in the men's 200m, placing 6th overall after clocking in with a time of 22.70. Moser finished 10th overall after crossing the finish line in a time of 22.99. Junior Jordan Johnson (Plainfield, N.J./Timothy Christian School) and freshman Robert Taddeo (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) placed back-to-back, as Johnson finished 12th overall with a time of 23.19, and Taddeo coming in 13th with a time of 23.48. Junior Payton Hirsch (Hamilton, N.Y./Morrisville-Eaton) ran a time of 24.05 to earn himself a 16th place finish.
 
Freshman Christopher Zajdel (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) and Gravell also placed back-to-back in the men's 400m, as Zajdel finished 3rd overall after running a time of 49.16, and Skylar finished 4th with a time of 49.65. Senior Brandon Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) earned himself a 7th place finish after running a time of 51.48. Hirsch clocked in with a time of 53.17 to place 12th overall, and Connor Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) placed 14th overall after running a time of 53.78.
 
In the men's 800m, redshirt-junior Matthew Frisa (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) placed 10th overall after running a time of 1:57.87. Freshman Brendan O'Rourke (New Milford, N.J./Bergen Catholic) placed 19th overall, running a time of 2:03.28. Junior Joseph Pecoraro (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph's By The Sea) also competed in the 800m, running a time of 2:09.92.
 
Freshman Liam Rocks (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) competed in the 1500m, placing 18th overall after running a time of 4:08.70. Senior Jacob Cottet (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt), senior KaHo Wong (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder/SUNY Brockport/Quinnipiac) and sophomore Jacob Makhlouf (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) also competed in the 1500m, running times of 4:23.20, 4:64.60, and 4:65.78. In the men's 5000m, freshman Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 14th overall after running a time of 15:44.54. Redshirt-sophomore Jake Roman (Liverpool, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/SUNY Morrisville) also competed in the 5000m, running a time of 17:11.31.
 
Freshman Maltrin Ramadani (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 7th overall in the men's 400m hurdles after running a time of 59.83. In the men's steeplechase, Gibson placed 1st overall after running a time of 9:32.78. Sophomore Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 3rd overall after running a time of 9:59.98. Sophomore Trevon Walker (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 8th overall in the men's long jump after earning a distance of 23-feet, 3.5-inches. He also placed 4th overall in the triple jump event after jumping a distance of 39-feet, 11.5-inches. Freshman Carter DeRosa (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) placed 6th overall after earning a distance of 39-feet, 1.25-inches.
 
Junior Adam Cuyler (Phoenix, N.Y./C.W.Baker) and sophomore Joseph Doran (Camden, N.Y./Camden) competed in the men's shot put, as Cuyler placed 6th overall after earning a distance of 40-feet, 9.75-inches, and Doran placed 9th overall after earning a distance of 36-feet, 3-inches. Joseph also competed in the hammer throw event, placing 8th overall after throwing a distance of 124-feet, 6-inches.
 
The quartet of Brandon Scott, Connor Scott, Jordan Johnson and Christopher Moser placed 1st overall in the 4x100m relay after running a time of 43.72. In the men's 4x400, Brandon Scott, Matthew Frisa, Jordan Johnson and Christopher Zajdel also placed 1st overall after running a time of 3:26.24. Maltrin Ramadani, Brendan O'Rourke, Jacob Cottet and Joseph Pecoraro also competed in the 4x400m relay, placing 5th overall after clocking in with a time of 3:38.77.
 
Sophomore Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) had the best individual success for the 'Phins on the women's side, as she placed 2nd overall in the 100m event after running a time of 12.46. She also competed in the 200m event, placing 5th overall after clocking in with a time of 25.73. Freshman Jacey Locci (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater) placed 14th overall after running a time of 27.82. Senior Delaney Mahanan (Syracuse, N.Y./Marcellus) placed 17th overall after running a time of 28.31, and freshman Kiersten Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) placed 20th overall after running a time of 29.71.
 
In the 800m event, freshman Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor/Monmouth) placed 4th overall after clocking in with a time of 2:20.95. Senior Hailey Beckwith (Stephentown, N.Y./Eaton) placed 20th overall after running a time of 2:43.97. Freshman Caitlin Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) and sophomore Angelina Rodriguez (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) also competed in the event, running times of 2:49.90 and 2:57.75.
 
Sophomore Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) placed 12th overall in the 1500m event after earning a time of 5:00.44. Freshman Isabella O'Donnell also competed in the event, running a time of 5:23.35. In the 100m hurdles, freshman Sara Edmonson (Leonardsville, N.Y./Mount Markham) placed 7th overall after running a time of 17.41. Kiersten Lamphier placed 9th overall after running a time of 18.45.
 
In the 400m hurdles, sophomore Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) and freshman Lilly Gilles (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) placed back-to-back, as Lowenguth finished 11th overall after running a time of 1:13.82, and Gilles running a time of 1:15.86 to earn a 12th place finish. In the high jump event, Locci placed 4th overall after tying her best mark of the season at 5-feet, 5-inches. Junior Lilly Capria (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 5th overall after earning a mark of 5-feet, 3-inches.
 
In the hammer throw event, junior Lauren Shaler (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) placed 8th overall after earning a distance of 102-feet, 4-inches. Senior Chelsea Dennison (Cato, N.Y./Cato-Meridian) placed 11th overall after earning a mark of 81-feet, 7-inches. Freshman Natalya Seery (Chaumont, N.Y./Lyme Central) placed 8th overall in the javelin throw event after earning a distance of 66-feet, 9-inches.
 
The quartet of Sara Edmonson, Delaney Manahan, Amanda Lowenguth, and Rosalie Vincent placed 4th overall in the 4x100m relay after earning a time of 51.38. In the 4x400m relay, Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera, Amanda Lowenguth, Lilly Gilles and Jacey Locci placed 5th overall after running a time of 4:13.48.
 
The Dolphins are back in action next Saturday, April 26th to compete in the Cardinal Classic, the final meet of the season ahead of the 2025 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships beginning Saturday, May 3rd.
