GIBSON AND GRAVELL SET PROGRAM RECORDS AS MEN'S AND WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETE AT DAY TWO OF ALAN CONNIE SHAMROCK INVITATIONAL

Myrtle Beach, S.C. - Senior Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) and sophomore Skylar Gravell (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy) set program records as men's and women's outdoor track & field wrapped up day two of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.

Gibson saw the most individual success for the 'Phins after placing 1st overall in the men's 5000m, clocking in with a time of 15:02.28 and setting yet another program record. Sophomore Tyler Cooper (Sloatsburg, N.Y./Suffern) also competed in the 5000m event, earning himself an 8th place finish with a time of 15:47.61. 

Senior Jacob Cottet (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) placed 15th overall in the 800m event after running a time of 2:06.55. Freshman Trevon Walker (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 87th overall in the 100m prelims after earning a time of 11.86.

The quartet of freshman Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy), freshman Brendan O'Rourke (New Milford, N.J./Bergen Catholic), sophomore Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool), and Cottet saw themselves earn a 2nd place finish in the 4x800m relay, clocking in with a time of 8:20.01, wrapping up the track events on day two.

In the field events, junior Cyril Anderson (Manchester, N.H./Manchester) placed 24th overall in the javelin throw, earning a distance of 134-feet, 3.75-inches. Trevon Walker placed 26th overall in the men's long jump after registering a height of 20-feet, 0.5-inches. Freshman Carter DeRosa (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) also competed in the long jump event, placing 52nd overall with a height of 17-feet, 4.25-inches.

On the women's side, junior Lilly Capria (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) saw the most individual success after placing 6th overall in the long jump event with a distance of 17-feet. Sophomore Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) placed 24th overall in the 100m event after earning a time of 12.78.

Sophomore Angelina Rodriguez (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) placed 26th overall in the 800m, clocking in with a time of 2:57.01. Freshman Caitlin Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) and senior Hailey Beckwith (Stephentown, N.Y./Berlin) finished just behind Rodriguez, earning the 27th and 28th spots with times of 2:59.07 and 3:01.48.

Freshman Sara Edmonson (Leonardsville, N.Y./Mount Markham) placed 26th in the women's 100m hurdles prelims after earning a time of 17.10. Classmate Kiersten Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) also competed in the 100m hurdles, placing 40th overall with a time of 23.68.

Freshman Lauren Shaler (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) placed 27th overall in her first collegiate outdoor hammer throw event, earning a distance of 113-feet, 4.75-inches. Senior Chelsea Dennison (Cato, N.Y./Cato-Meridian) placed 41st overall in the hammer throw with a distance of 81-feet, 0.75-inches. 

The quartet of freshman Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor/Monmouth), freshman Isabella O'Donnell (Latham, N.Y./Shaker), sophomore Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville), and sophomore Stephanie James (Schenectady, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville/Saint Rose) placed 2nd overall in the 4x800m relay after clocking in a time of 10:14.24.

Senior Delaney Manahan (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus), sophomore Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), Sara Edmonson and Kiersten Lamphier placed 13th overall in the 4x200m relay, earning a time of 1:56.54.

The Dolphins will conclude their first trip to Myrtle Beach tomorrow as the third and final day of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational comes to a close.
