The 1975 Men's Soccer team made the men's soccer program the third program in the College's history to earn a berth in the NCAA Championships. After going 8-2-1 in the regular season, the Dolphins were awarded the third seed in the New York-New England Region of the NCAA Championship tournament. In the first round, the Dolphins defeated second-seeded University of New Haven by a score of 3-0. Ralph Madonna, the team's leading scorer with 23 points on nine goals and five assists, was a part of all three goals. He scored six minutes into the game and then fed Dan Cook at the 10-minute mark. Madonna connected with Cook again for the game's final goal. The team's season came to an end in the national quarterfinals at top-seeded Adelphi. In addition to Madonna's 23 points, Cook recorded 21 on nine and three assists. Ted Riverso and Mike Forsythe each posted 15 points on five goals and five assists. Mark Lagoner led the defense with 182 saves.
