The program's all-time leader in assists, Paul Galvin '84 is the 33rd men's basketball player to earn a spot in the Gold Wave Hall of Fame. Over 104 career games, he dished out 602 assists to go along with 798 points and 273 rebounds. As a sophomore, he dished out a then-program record 120 assists. He eclipsed the mark the following year with 178 assists and closed out his career by handing out 197 assists. He held the top spot on the chart until the 1997-98 season. He was the first player in the program's history to record at least 100 assists in all four seasons and is one of just three players currently. As a senior, he led the Dolphins to the program's first 20-win season by averaging 10.3 points, 7.0 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
