Hall of Fame
The only infielder in the program's history to receive NFCA All-America honors, Jennifer Winters '06 is the sixth member of the softball program to be elected to the Gold Wave Hall of Fame. As a starter in all 178 games of her career, Winters slashed .368/.412/.581 with 208 hits, 130 runs scored, 117 runs batted in, 40 doubles, 20 home runs, 10 triples and 15 stolen bases, while leading the Dolphins to three NCAA regional championships and one Northeast-10 Conference championship. The Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Year in 2003, Winters was tabbed to the NFCA All-America Second Team as a freshman in 2003 and was a four-time NFCA All-Region and NE10 All-Conference selection. She is the only freshman in the program's history to be named an all-American and one of just two freshmen to earn all-Region accolades. The 2006 Rev. J.J. O'Brien Senior Athlete Achievement Award recipient, she ranks second in the program's history in batting average and slugging percentage, both of which she ranked first in until 2017, and fifth in on-base percentage and runs scored. She was the third member of the program to record 200 career hits and currently ranks sixth in the category. Her 1.17 hits per game is the third-best mark in the program's history. She is tied for sixth in home runs and RBI and was the program leader in both categories at the time of her graduation.
