The 2007 men's lacrosse team captured the third national championship in the College's history with a 6-5 win over Mercyhurst. The winning goal from junior Mike McDonald came with one second remaining. For his efforts, McDonald was named the Championship Most Outstanding Player for the second straight year. The Dolphins completed the season with a record of 15-2, which included the program's seventh straight NE10 Tournament Championship. The class of 2007 finished its career with a record of 63-3, four NCAA tournament appearances, four Northeast-10 Conference Tournament championships, three NE10 Regular Season titles and three national championships. The class's .955 winning percentage is the second-best in the program's history. Four members of the team were named to the USILA All-America First Team, and one was selected to the USILA Second Team. Redshirt senior Jared Corcoran collected his third straight Ensign C. Markland Kelly Jr. Award as the nation's Most Outstanding Goalkeeper, junior Mike McDonald earned the Lt. Col. J.I. Turnbull Award as the nation's Most Outstanding Attackman and sophomore Brian Griffin was named the Faceoff Specialist of the Year. Corcoran collected NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year honors for the fourth consecutive season as four players were named to the NE10 First Team and four were selected to the NE10 Second Team.
