Hall of Fame
The first elite scorer in the program's history, Maria GomesĀ is the first member of the women's lacrosse program to be elected to the Hall of Fame. Over 53 career games, she tallied 186 points on 128 goals and 58 assists. Up until the 2002 season, each of those three totals ranked first in the program's history. Currently, she ranks fifth in points per game (3.51) and assists per game (1.09), sixth in goals per game (2.42), eighth in goals scored and ninth in points and assists. Additionally, she holds the program's record for career ground balls with 250. After eclipsing the points record as a sophomore with 49, she became the first player in the program's history to top the 50-point mark with 59 on 43 goals and 16 assists as a junior. With her second of 48 points as a senior, she became the program's career points leader. With her 14th goal of her senior year, she became the program's all-time goal scoring leader, while she became the assist leader with her 14th of 17 assists as a sophomore.
