A four-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, Lizzie Cheek is the second member of the volleyball program to be elected to the Gold Wave Hall of Fame. The program's all-time leader in kills, she recorded 1296 over her 117-match career. She also posted 1158 digs, 174 services aces and 90 total blocks. In addition to ranking first in kills, Cheek also sits atop the career leaderboard for points with 1526. One of only three players in the program's history to record more than 1000 kills and 1000 digs, Cheek ranks sixth in digs, while ranking fourth in points per set (3.69) and kills per set (3.13) and fifth in service aces. She was the first Dolphin freshman to earn All-NE10 honors when she was named to the third team in 2006 and went on to become the first Dolphin to be recognized with all-conference accolades in each of her four seasons. The current head coach of the Dolphins, she remains one of only two four-time all-NE10 honorees in the program's 21 years in the conference and one of only three freshmen to receive all-NE10 recognition. On the single-season charts, she holds the record for kills with 438 and points with 513.5, both of which came in 2007 when she started a streak of three straight years being named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference Second Team. Her 438 kills were the third-most in the NE10 that season.
