The first Dolphin to earn national player of the year honors, Brittany Brigandi '12 is the third member of the women's lacrosse program to be elected to the Gold Wave Hall of Fame. A two-time IWLCA All-America and Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference First Team selection, Brigandi tallied 217 points on 182 goals and 35 assists over 49 games played, while adding 67 draw controls and 49 ground balls. She led the Dolphins to consecutive NCAA Division II tournament berths as a junior and senior and the program's first NE10 regular season championship in 2012. At the completion of her career, she held the program's records for goals and ranked third in points, while she currently ranks second in goals and seventh in points. She still is the program's leader in goals per game (3.71) and free-position goals (51) and ranks second in points per game (4.43). Following an injury-shortened first year with the program after transferring from UMass, Brigandi led the Dolphins to their first NCAA Championship semifinals in 2011 with a then-program record 106 points on a program-best and Division II-leading 87 goals and 19 assists. On April 3 at Merrimack, she tallied a program-best nine goals in a 20-9 victory. After entering her senior season as a member of the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, she earned IWLCA Midfielder of the Year and Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year accolades after leading the Dolphins back to the NCAA semifinals and recording 79 points (fifth-most in the program's history at the time, 15th now) on 66 goals (second-most in the program's history at the time, tied for fifth now) and 13 assists. With her 60th goal of the season, which came against seventh-ranked Stonehill on April 28, 2012, she became the program's career goals scored leader, a spot she held until this past season. Le Moyne's Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior, she is one of only two players in the program's history (joining 2018 Hall of Fame inductee Amanda Daniels '03) to lead the team in goals three times.
