The program's career scoring and rebounding leader, Laurence Ekperigin '10 is the latest member of the men's basketball program to be elected to the Hall of Fame. In 117 career games, Ekperigin recorded 1,966 points and 1,171 rebounds, both totals which surpassed the previous school records held by Len Rauch '91. Ekperigin, the only Le Moyne men's basketball player to garner first team all-conference honors in three consecutive seasons, also wrapped up his four-year record-setting career as the program's leader in field goals made (762), field goal percentage (.638), free throws made (442), free throws attempted (737) and minutes played (3875), all marks he still holds. He finished his career ranked second, and is now ranked third, in blocked shots (218), games played (117) and games started (107). After scoring 21.6 points and grabbing 12.1 rebounds per game in his final collegiate season, Ekperigin was selected to the Daktronics and Basketball Times All-America First Teams and was selected as a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) State Farm Coaches Division II All-America Team. Additionally, he was selected to play in the NABC/NCAA Division II All-Star Game, where he was the East team's Most Outstanding Player, and invited to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. On the single-season charts, Ekperigin's marks as a senior of 606 points, 340 rebounds, 164 free throws made and 221 field goals made all rank third all-time, while placing second in free throws attempted (230), fifth in scoring average (21.6) and sixth in field goal percentage (.642, fourth at the time) and blocked shots (72, fourth at the time). As a junior in 2008-09, he was named the Northeast-10 Conference, ECAC and Daktronics East Region Player of the Year and to the Daktronics All-America First Team after averaging 18.3 points and a conference-best 11.4 rebounds per game to go with a nation-leading 21 double-doubles. His 354 total rebounds, 81 blocks and .684 field goal percentage during the campaign are the best by a Dolphin in a season. He earned his first career NE10 all-Conference First Team honors after posting 17.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest as a sophomore. He opened his career by recording 9.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game en route to earning NE10 All-Rookie Team accolades.
