Hall of Fame
The first head coach in the history of the men's and women's swimming and diving programs, Joe Hannah is the sixth person in the two programs' history to be elected to the Hall of Fame. During his lengthy tenure leading the Dolphins, Hannah guided nine different swimmers and divers to All-America status over 15 events and Honorable Mention All-America recognition in 31 events. The crowning moment of Hannah's career came in 2008 when Alison Lesher '08 won the national championship in the 200-yard butterfly. The 2008-09 Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year, Le Moyne swimming and diving members won over 100 conference and state titles in both the Northeast-10 Conference and the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association during Hannah's time. Since the NE10 added swimming and diving as a championship sport in 2003-04, Hannah coached seven NE10 Swimmer of the Year recipients, four Rookie of the Year honorees and a four-time Diver of the Year. Hannah coached five members who earned induction in the Le Moyne College Gold Wave Hall of Fame.
