The most decorated player in the program's history, Travis Tarr '06 is just the fourth member of the men's lacrosse program to be elected to the Hall of Fame and the first defenseman to be honored. The first four-time USILA All-America selection in the program's history (one of only two now), Tarr led the Dolphins to two National Championships and an additional two NCAA semifinal appearances, while the Dolphins went 62-2 overall, 40-0 in NE10 play and captured four NE10 tournament titles. After earning USILA All-America Second Team honors as a freshman, Tarr was selected to the USILA All-America First Team the following three years. As a junior, Tarr was the recipient of the USILA's Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the Most Outstanding Player in Division II as well as the recipient of the William C. Schmeisser Award as the Most Outstanding Defensive Player in Division II. He repeated as the winner of the Schmeisser Award in 2006, when he led the Dolphins to the program's second national championship in three years and an 18-0 record, at the time the most wins by a national champion in Division II history. In addition to his national accolades, Tarr was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006 and the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and to the NE10 All-Conference First Team all four years of his career. As a junior, Tarr anchored a defense which allowed only 3.27 goals per game, the lowest mark in NCAA history across all three divisions. The 2006 team's mark of 3.67 goals against is tied for the third-best in NCAA history. He concluded his time on the Heights as the co-recipient of the 2005-06 Rev. J.J. O'Brien, S.J. Male Senior Athlete Achievement Award.
